"O fools, and slow"
May 19, 2009 Let us reflect: the Lord Jesus calls two disciples on the Emmaus road of fools, in other words, the Lord calls them fools "And he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Luke 24.25 "
Pausing to reflect, the Lord is calling them fools and slow of heart to understand why they take all that the prophets said, it is interesting that the Lord Jesus speaks of all, the Lord Jesus does not exclude anything, why? Because the prophets prophesied of the Lord Jesus from the beginning. Soon after the Lord Jesus asks a question to the disciples "Ought not Christ to suffer these things and enter into his glory? Luke 24:26 , "You do not understand that this was what the prophets were saying it should happen to the Christ? The disciples knew, but needed to not only meet, but to understand
"And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures. Luke 24:27 , "while we share in the Old Testament:
Pentateuch -> Genesis to Deuteronomy
History -> Joshua to Esther
Poetic -> Job through Song
Major prophets (escreveream greater because more or had more time to ministry) -> Daniel Isaísas
Minor Prophets -> Hosea to Malachi
The Jews have only two divisions:
Books of Moses: Genesis to Deuteronôminio
Prophets: Joshua to Malachi
Then see that the Lord Jesus went through the Bible (assuming that the new testament was still being written) to explain what should have happened to him
So let us reflect on two things: The Lord Jesus spoke to believe we all that the prophets said about Him, we are fools if they do not understand, now reflects this: How can we believe everything without knowing? You must read if you can not read, can you hear nowadays is very easy for those who want the Bible there are millions of sites with the Bible in audio, there are several out there selling, I recommend the Bible Mail so you can read , search, listen, download to your cell phone, because remember: Jesus also said, "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, keep my words: and my Father loved him, and come unto him and make our abode with him. John 14:23 ", think, learn everything you need so you can believe in everything, do not delay, start now to read the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. good read!
May the Lord open your understanding to the Scriptures compreeender "Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. Luke 24:45 "
The more you read the Bible, understand more, have courage, read, and reread it while you live, and remember that the Holy Spirit is the true interpreter of the Bible, then ask Him to help
