Gr apokemal, be kept from being booked. (Lc 19.20); e reservado (Cl 1.5; 2 Tm 4.8). Translated as ordered (v.27) saved (Luke 19:20) and booked (Col. 1:5, 2 Timothy 4.8). Death is secured or reserved by divine decree, "Dust thou art and unto dust shalt thou return" (Gen. 3:19). This law of death upon all men will run until the Rapture, when the living will be translated and not see death (1 Corinthians 15.51-58, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-16); Phil. 3:21). All who live at the end of the millennium and not rebel against God will be permitted to live eternally in the new land. Death will be destroyed and all things return to the state they were before Adam sinned (Revelation 20:7-10; 21.1-22, 1 Corinthians 15.24-28)
