When Adam sinned, God asked him why he sinned and because of that God said that the sweat from his face he eat bread, and likewise God asked Eve sinned because she and her sin because of God multiplied her pain to "give birth "this is recorded in Genesis 3:16-17 , but the serpent God had no dialogue, just applied the penalty: "Then the Lord God said to the serpent: Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above all animals field upon thy belly shalt thou and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life. Genesis 3:15 . "
